Spansk tradisjon å henge jakthundene etter harejakten

Dyrebeskyttelsen Oslo og omegn har tatt initiativ til og skrevet et engelsk brev som de oppfordrer deg til å sende til den spanske ambassaden i Oslo.

I would be most greatful if the Spanish Embassy in Norway could please forward this message to the appropriate authorities in Spain.
I have become deeply shocked by the recent news released from WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals) concerning thousands of dogs being tortured and killed in Spain after hare hunting. The dogs are hanged by the neck as soon as they have served their 'purpose' during the hunt. Their legs are allowed to barely touch the ground resulting in the dogs slowly choking, hence dying a painful death.
The Spanish claim this gruesome cruelty to animals is an old tradition in Spain. I beg the Spanish Government to please stop this tradition.
The news are so shocking that I intend to boycott Spanish products and travels until I feel certain that action is being made to stop the torturing. I will also advice my friends and associates to do the same.
Best Regards,
